GREAT NORTH AMERICAN ROAD TRIPS
Are you in the midst of planning your next holiday to North America – perhaps for the balmy late summer or the golden days of autumn? Then consider a great road trip through the USA and/or Canada. The options are endless and the driving is easy, particularly if you are travelling in a Hertz rental car equipped with a NeverLost navigational system.

Here are a few exciting and timely options
California's Route 1
Follow the scenic, ocean-hugging Pacific Coast Highway from Los Angeles to San Francisco, stopping at such tempting sites as San Simeon's majestic Hearst Castle, the beautiful old Spanish mission town of Santa Barbara and the incredible Monterey Bay Aquarium. Linger awhile at one of the wide, sandy beaches or in such hedonistic heavens as the Ojai Valley Resort & Spa east of Ventura.
Al Harvey
British Columbia's Route 99
Follow the scenic mountain route from Vancouver, the British Columbia host city of the 2010 Winter Olympics, to the ski resort of Whistler. It's particularly beautiful in the autumn when the fall foliage is a symphony of different colours. For more about the beautiful province of British Columbia, the city of Vancouver and the Winter Olympics visit www.britishcolumbia.travel
Hertz NeverLost will ensure you can always find your way, wherever you are in the USA! www.discoverneverlost.com
Maryland's Historic National Road (Route 40)
Celebrate the 375th anniversary of Maryland's founding by following America's first federally funded highway. It stretches west from Baltimore's lively, attraction-surrounded Inner Harbor to the rugged, beautiful Appalachian mountains and then across the state border on beyond. Along the way, visit such historic communities as Ellicott City and Frederick.
Chris Corrie
New Mexico's Turquoise Trail (Rt 14)
When better to explore one of the 'Land of Enchantment's' 26 scenic byways than during Santa Fe's 400th anniversary celebrations, extending from 2009 into most of next year. Starting just east of Albuquerque, the Turquoise Trail passes by Sandia Peak Aerial Tramway (there's a great view from the top) and the quaint communities of Madrid and Cerrillos.
